This is 1x permanent full-time opportunity for Park Ranger whose reporting base would be Wenderholm Regional Park and will require you to work across the various Northern Regional Parks.
You would be joining a team of 21x rangers across the Northern Regional Parks.
As a Park Ranger, you will be responsible for enabling safe and enjoyable outdoor recreation and education experiences in regional park settings, while conserving and protecting natural and cultural heritage enviroment.
This is permanent full-time position with an immediate start that requires working on a 40 hour a weekly rotating roster system, including being available for weekends, public holidays and being on call/stand by.
A house at Atiu Creek may be available for the successful incumbent to rent at a discounted rate, offering a unique lifestyle opportunity in this location.

Ngā kawenga matua: Key responsibilities
This role involves a diverse mix of hands‑on and people‑focused responsibilities. You will manage and support volunteers and external stakeholders to achieve conservation and recreation outcomes, including overseeing and auditing contractor performance.
The role also involves liaising with visitors across campgrounds and visitor arrival areas, carrying out general park maintenance, and delivering historic site protection programmes to ensure park environments are safe, clean, and welcoming. In addition, you will support the wider ranger team with the maintenance of recreational assets, including walking and mountain bike tracks.
