An exciting permanent part-time Registered Nurse role with HammondCare in Wahroonga sits within a dedicated Community Palliative Care team delivering evidence-based nursing to patients with palliative needs. The role is six days per fortnight onsite, with NSW Health transferrable entitlements recognised. We’re seeking a nurse with current AHPRA registration, at least three years post-graduate experience or working toward a postgraduate palliative care qualification, and ideally palliative care exposure in inpatient or community settings. You’ll demonstrate strong critical thinking, effective communication, and the ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team while managing competing workloads. Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
Experience working in the specialty area of palliative care in an inpatient setting or community is desirable
At least three years post-graduate experience and/or working towards a post-graduate palliative care qualification.
Evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking, and analysis in your daily practice as a registered nurse
Able to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Effective written and oral communication skills
Commitment to ongoing professional development
Computer literacy with email and an electronic patient record system
Effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads within a complex environment
