An exciting permanent part-time Registered Nurse role with HammondCare in Wahroonga sits within a dedicated Community Palliative Care team delivering evidence-based nursing to patients with palliative needs. The role is six days per fortnight onsite, with NSW Health transferrable entitlements recognised. We’re seeking a nurse with current AHPRA registration, at least three years post-graduate experience or working toward a postgraduate palliative care qualification, and ideally palliative care exposure in inpatient or community settings. About the role

Permanent part-time (6 days per fortnight) role for an experienced and skilled Registered Nurse. Currently based in Wahroonga, you will be a part of a highly dedicated Community Palliative Care team that provides the evidence-based nursing care and advice to patients with palliative care needs.

About you

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency

  • Experience working in the specialty area of palliative care in an inpatient setting or community is desirable

  • At least three years post-graduate experience and/or working towards a post-graduate palliative care qualification.

  • Evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking, and analysis in your daily practice as a registered nurse

  • Able to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team

  • Effective written and oral communication skills

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development

  • Computer literacy with email and an electronic patient record system

  • Effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads within a complex environment
