Job Description

An exciting opportunity exists for a Part-Time (0.8) Registered Nurse to join the General Medical / Neuroscience Ward at Epworth Geelong, Waurn Ponds, with the opportunity to develop skills and undertake upskilling in TSP Cardiac Care.

This dynamic unit comprises a 15-bed Neurosciences Ward and an 8-bed Coronary Care Unit (CCU), providing care for a diverse range of neurology and cardiac patients. As part of this role, you will work within a highly skilled, supportive, and welcoming team committed to delivering excellence in patient care.

You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary team members to ensure the best possible clinical outcomes and patient experiences. This position offers an excellent opportunity to broaden your clinical expertise while contributing to a culture of professionalism, compassion, and continuous improvement.

To be successful in this role:

You are a patient-centred nurse within an interest in neurosciences.  You enjoy collaborating with team members to support the development and growth of the service. In addition to this, you are a critical thinker and keep up-to-date with best practices in nursing care.  You are safety conscious and are not shy in speaking up for safety. 

You will have

  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Relevant and relatable acute neuroscience experience
  • Postgraduate certificate in neuroscience (desirable)
  • Evidence of sound critical thinking and current practice
  • Excellent communication

The annual salary range for full time Registered Nurses – AUD $85,732- $107,669 + super + entitlements, depending on registration type, year level and position/experience (prorated for part-time).
