Under the general supervision of the Manager Health Services, Heart Cath Lab, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assisting the Interventional Cardiologist with various cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures including: coronary angiograms; PTCA/CAS; RHC/LHC, shunt calculations and aortic and mitral valve insertions; rotoblation, intraaortic balloon pump insertion, use of intravascular ultrasound, and temporary pacemaker implantation.
