MacKillop Family Services is hiring a full-time Residential Case Manager in Belconnen, ACT to deliver trauma-informed case work to young people in Out of Home Therapeutic Residential Care with complex needs. The role leads assessment, planning, implementation and review of case plans, working closely with Therapeutic Specialists, House Supervisors and external partners, with a strong emphasis on building partnerships with Aboriginal and CALD agencies to improve outcomes. You will hold a relevant tertiary qualification, have OOHC casework experience, strong communication skills and knowledge of OOHC policy standards, and you will manage a caseload while meeting child protection requirements and contributing to multidisciplinary forums. About the Role:
The Case Worker plays a key role in delivering high quality, trauma informed case work services to young people in Out of Home Therapeutic Residential Care, supporting those with high and complex needs who require specialised and intensive intervention.
The role is responsible for comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, monitoring and review of case plans to ensure permanency and positive outcomes for children, young people and their families. Working closely with Therapeutic Specialists, House Supervisors and other team members, the Case Worker ensures that support is integrated, coordinated and tailored to each young person’s needs.
A strong focus is placed on collaboration with specialist and mainstream services, as well as building meaningful partnerships with Aboriginal and CALD agencies, to improve outcomes and provide holistic support for young people and their families.

You are a dedicated and compassionate practitioner who is committed to improving the lives of vulnerable young people, particularly those with complex mental health, disability, emotional and behavioural needs. You bring strong assessment, case planning and analytical skills, along with the ability to make sound decisions and maintain clear, meaningful records. You thrive in collaborative, multidisciplinary environments and work confidently alongside Therapeutic Specialists, carers, families and external service providers.
