Foodstuffs seeks a fixed-term Retail Operations Specialist (to November 2026) onsite in Auckland to help member stores deliver strong customer outcomes through BAU operations and selected initiatives. You’ll coach store teams on supported processes, embed consistent ways of working, and support ownership changes, new openings and refurbishments while identifying opportunities to reduce friction and costs. You’ll partner with stores and central teams including IT, Merchandise, Supply Chain and Finance to drive KPI led improvements and transition stores to BAU. We partner closely with store owners and internal teams to deliver consistent, efficient and customer focused operations, while supporting new store openings, ownership changes and major transformation initiatives.Te Tūranga – About the roleAs a Retail Operations Specialist, you’ll play a key role in supporting our member stores to deliver great customer outcomes through strong retail operations. Predominantly store‑based, you’ll work alongside store owners and teams to support Business as Usual operations, identify opportunities for improvement, and help embed consistent, best‑practice processes.This is a fixed‑term opportunity through to November 2026. Some of your responsibilities will be to:·       Supporting stores across Business as Usual operations and key retail initiatives·       Coaching store teams on supported retail processes and the value of consistent ways of working·       Supporting change initiatives such as change of ownership, new store and refurbishment programmes, and other business‑critical projects·       Identifying operational improvement opportunities that reduce friction for customers and lower the cost of doing business for stores·       Partnering with stores to improve performance using KPI‑driven insights and recommendations·       Collaborating with central teams including IT, Merchandise, Supply Chain, Finance and Learning & Enablement·       Supporting the documentation and deployment of process changes in a clear and consistent way·       Delivering service excellence against agreed service level agreements·       Acting as a trusted advisor to store owners through effective communication, influence and operational expertise·       Contributing to a high‑performance, collaborative Retail Operations team culture·       Supporting the Deployment Manager to transition stores into “Business as Usual” operationsNgā painga – What we offerWe’re committed to providing awesome experiences for our people, including:·       Free carparking, with over 1,000 carparks including 36 EV charging plugs·       Onsite café with subsidised meals, mini mart, and 5% discount at our retail stores·       Flexible working options and a day off on your birthday·       In‑house learning and development opportunities, flu vaccinations, and social network groups (we call them Tribes)He kōrero mōu – About youYou’ll bring a strong background in retail operations, with hands-on instore experience highly valued.
