You’ll contribute to validation activities that support new designs and improvements to existing products, working closely with test development engineers to refine test setups and troubleshoot when needed. You’ll set up and calibrate test fixtures and S-parameter measurement stations, following established lab standards. As tests proceed, you’ll track progress and report milestones to your manager and customers, and you’ll share knowledge during training sessions with less-experienced teammates.
You’ll collaborate with engineers to drive test setup improvements, help assemble fixtures and wire harnesses, and participate in ongoing reporting of test status. The role calls for clear communication and a hands-on mindset, with opportunities to mentor newer colleagues as you gain experience.
The essentials you’ll bring
- An associate degree in electrical engineering or an equivalent amount of related education and experience
- At least five years of hands-on RF component testing experience
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a lab that evolves over time
- Strong familiarity with test equipment such as PXI systems, RF sources, pulse generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, vector network analyzers, noise figure analyzers, power meters, power supplies, and digital multimeters
- Solid knowledge of RF testing concepts including S-parameters, noise figure, pulsed and high-power RF, TOI, harmonics, ACP, VBW, digital pre-distortion, and modulation testing (AM/AM, AM/PM, PAM) as well as schemes like LTE/TDD, WCDMA, and QAM

Put your RF testing experience up front on your resume, especially any roles with five or more years of hands-on RF component testing and direct lab work across a wide frequency range.
Call out your instrument proficiency with specifics. Mention hands-on work with PXI systems, RF sources, spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, and other listed gear, and share a concrete example of a test you set up or calibrated.
Be ready to discuss real-world test setups you helped improve. Have a story about a setup challenge you diagnosed, how you collaborated with test development engineers, and what change you implemented and measured as a result.
