Job Overview

The Safety Controls Technician will support the comprehensive upgrade of manufacturing equipment control systems and wiring to achieve full compliance with ANSI/ISO Machinery Safety standards and TE corporate standards. This role encompasses design, creation, review, troubleshooting, and hands-on implementation of safety controls systems of manufacturing equipment at the Landisville, PA facility. The position will report into the Lead Safety Controls Engineer to execute the systematic upgrades according to project schedules and regulatory compliance requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Diagnose, repair, and troubleshoot electrical and control system issues, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Install and maintain wiring and related electrical machine safety components, safety relays, or safety PLCs, motor controllers, VFD’s, and servo controllers.
  • Support mechanical repairs and collaborate with other technicians to resolve challenges.
  • Assist in design and certification of all safety control system designs for regulatory and company machinery safety specifications.
  • Validate and verify system integrity.

What your background should look like

  • Degree in Electronics Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent technical discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in industrial automation, controls engineering, and machine safety.
  • Proven experience programming and troubleshooting PLC-based control systems in an industrial environment.
  • TÜV Functional Safety certification (CMSE, CFSE, or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Experience with industrial drives, motion control, and servo systems commissioning.
  • Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic safety systems is desirable.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $70,000 - $104,900 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
