JAMP Pharma is looking for a Sales Manager to lead its Ontario field team. The company is a recognized player in Canada’s pharmaceutical scene, known for agility and steady growth, with a broad portfolio that spans generics, branded medicines, specialty care, and biosimilars. Through a commitment to quality and accessibility, JAMP aims to improve the health of millions of Canadians. This onsite role sits in Ontario and reports to the Sales Director, with the chance to shape growth in the generic space by building strong relationships with key corporate customers and turning market insights into action. It’s a role for someone who enjoys turning strategy into results and mentoring a field force across a real regional footprint.

The Sales Manager for Ontario will oversee a team of sales representatives and partner with internal groups to make sure the plan delivers. The job emphasizes growth objectives, market positioning, and a close alignment with national sales strategies. If you’re excited by coaching others, strengthening partnerships with chains, wholesalers and regional banners, and acting as a clear ambassador for JAMP’s offerings, this could be a fit.

In short, this position suits leaders who like building teams, driving regional action, and collaborating across departments to win share in a competitive market.

Steering the Ontario sales engine

Day to day, you’ll lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team across Western Canada while ensuring the group stays aligned with broader national goals and performance targets. You’ll run regular field coaching and one-on-one meetings, and you’ll conduct performance evaluations to keep the team sharp. A core focus is identifying new business opportunities in target markets, particularly for high-value products, and translating those insights into regional action plans designed to maximise market share. You’ll work closely with marketing, market access, and the supply chain to execute strategy smoothly and ensure the team has what it needs to win.

The role also calls for strong market oversight: you’ll provide market analyses and sales reports, offering actionable recommendations based on data. You’ll stay on top of regulatory and competitive dynamics in the generic market and share those insights with senior management. Building and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers, chains, wholesalers, and regional banners, will be part of everyday conversations, as will representing JAMP Pharma in corporate meetings, contract negotiations, and strategic presentations. As the company’s ambassador, you’ll promote the portfolio and capabilities to business partners, representing the brand with credibility and professionalism.

The must-haves and nice-to-haves

What you bring to the table will help you hit the ground running. The must-haves include:

  • Deep knowledge of the Canadian pharmaceutical market with a focus on generics
  • Proven ability to negotiate, lead teams, and craft strategies that drive growth
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Willingness to travel frequently across Eastern Canada, up to 50%

Nice-to-haves can give you a leg up. These are:

  • Bilingual in French and English, spoken and written

Beyond these, the company values a set of core competencies that help teams win: strong business sense, a collaborative mindset, a results-driven focus, adept relationship management with customers, creative problem solving, solid negotiation and presentation capabilities, and an intrapreneurial mindset.

Pay, travel and practical details

JAMP Pharma offers a competitive remuneration package that includes commissions tied to your results. The role is onsite in Ontario, with frequent travel across Eastern Canada (up to half the time) as part of the job. These details are the practical footprint of the position you’re considering.

Advice for applicants

Lead with your leadership in field sales and your experience guiding a team toward national objectives. Share concrete examples of how you’ve built and motivated a sales group, and how you kept everyone aligned with broader corporate strategies and performance targets.

Show the impact you’ve had in the Canadian generic market by citing real negotiations that closed high-value opportunities and the outcomes you achieved. Tie these stories to measurable results, market share gains, revenue growth, or key account wins, to demonstrate you can deliver on ambitious growth plans.

Be ready to discuss how you use data to shape action. Describe how you conduct market analyses, translate findings into detailed sales reports, and convert insights into practical plans that your team can execute. Acknowledge how you’ve collaborated with marketing, market access and supply chain to implement those plans successfully.

Come with a thoughtful question about the role’s regional priorities and measurement. For example: what are the top priorities for the Ontario sales team in the coming year, and how is success tracked across Eastern Canada? This shows you’re thinking about how to contribute to the broader goals and how you’d adapt to shifting market dynamics.
