Aspect Hunter School in Thornton seeks a part-time, maximum-term maintenance role to keep buildings and grounds safe. You will repair and maintain systems, manage equipment, assist with grounds and improvements, and drive school vehicles when required. The ideal candidate has experience in building and grounds maintenance, knowledge of electrical and plumbing basics, strong communication, and the ability to work independently or in a team; trade certification is desirable. A current NSW driver’s licence and Working with Children Check are required. Pay is $31.62 to $33.73 per hour plus super, with salary packaging and other benefits. Aspect Hunter School provides placement for approximately 270 students on the autism spectrum from Kindergarten to year 12 at its main school at Thornton, and across its satellite classes within the Catholic and Department of Education schools in Newcastle, Hunter and Port Macquarie regions. Aspect Hunter School also offers a Distance Education program for students on the autism spectrum in years 3 to 8 from across NSW.
