ROLE SUMMARY:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Art Teacher to join our Arts Faculty from Term 4, 2026 in a full-time, permanent role. Experience teaching within an international curriculum, such as IB, Cambridge International, or equivalent would be highly regarded.
With one or more specialisations including painting, printmaking, photography and/or sculpture, the successful applicant will confidently teach Visual Art across Years 7–13, inspiring students to develop their creativity, technical skills, and artistic confidence while contributing to a thriving and high-performing school community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creating Engaging Art Lessons: Plan and deliver lessons that inspire and challenge all students and are in line with the school's curriculum, policies, and external assessment requirements. You will individualise and differentiate learning, ensuring each student is stretched, supported, and makes outstanding progress.
- Supporting and Assessing Progress: Regularly assess students' in-class and at-home learning, providing targeted feedback to drive progress and ensure all students are challenged and supported in reaching their potential.
- Building a Positive Learning Environment: Establish a classroom and school environment where students are invested in each other's flourishing, feel valued and supported, and are ready to take risks in their learning.
- Collaborating and Sharing Best Practices: Work closely with colleagues as an active member of our learning community, sharing best practices, collaborating with colleagues, and dedicating yourself to your own professional development to ensure the highest standard of education for our students.
- Contributing to School Life: Play an active role in the school's co-curricular programme, helping to create a well-rounded, enriching educational experience. From leading clubs to contributing to whole school initiatives, you will help shape the broader life of the school.
- Collaborating with Parents: Maintain open and constructive communication with parents, building strong partnerships that support students' progress so that each child feels like an individual, well-known and respected.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Passion for education and the ability to inspire, engage, and motivate young people.
- Proven experience teaching Visual Art across secondary year levels (Years 7–13 preferred).
- Strong knowledge of international curriculum, such as IB, Cambridge International (highly regarded), assessment, and differentiated teaching practices.
- Ability to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Deep subject knowledge with a passion for the arts and a commitment to student achievement.
- Skilled in assessing progress, providing meaningful feedback, and supporting strong academic outcomes.
- Experience providing pastoral care and promoting student wellbeing and welfare.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with students, colleagues, and families.
- Strong organisational, administrative, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Relevant teaching qualification, a positive adaptable approach to contributing to school life and ongoing professional development.
