Advice for applicants
Lead with your direct digital forensic experience and your four-year degree in one of the target fields. In your resume, call out at least four years of hands-on digital forensics work and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or Management of Information Systems, with a concrete example of independent project management.
Showcase how you’ve used forensic software to identify, collect, preserve and analyze data from operating systems, laptops, desktops, mobile devices and cloud services, and describe a workflow you designed that led to a forensically sound collection and a clear handoff to processing teams.
Be ready to discuss your capacity to provide depositions or testimonies and to present time and cost estimates for client projects. Include a scenario where you scoped a project, defined the workflow, and delivered results to an external stakeholder.
Ask a thoughtful question that demonstrates you understand the client-facing, project-management side of the role, such as how projects are typically structured, what the team’s split is between field work and processing work, and what mentorship opportunities exist in the Dubai group.
