We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join the Unified Systems Neighbourhood in our Core Services camp. At the heart of our neighbourhood is a shared mission: to provide a unified user experience to our customers. Working in this role, you will partner closely with product, design, and data peers to deliver user experiences that drive the right behaviours and practices for people and their business.

Our neighbourhood builds the platform experience that underpins Culture Amp’s unified navigation, App Chrome, shared UI/tooling packages, and Home surface, enabling product teams to ship cohesive, accessible, and performant experiences across the platform. Your work will shape our Design System and other key UI infrastructure, elevating consistency and speed for every team and customer touchpoint.

As part of this team of amazing humans,

You will

  • Write clean, scalable, and testable code as a Frontend Engineer (primarily React, Next.js) to deliver seamless, high-performance frontend interfaces.
  • Build and maintain UI components within Culture Amp’s Kaizen design system, collaborating with designers and other engineers in your team.
  • Own and evolve other foundational systems, including shared libraries and cross-product services that define our unified platform experiences.
  • Collaborate through pairing, solution designs, and thoughtful code reviews—documenting your approaches and sharing knowledge via docs, brown bags, and internal posts.
  • Coach other developers—raising the bar for engineering excellence within the team.
  • Partner with engineers across Core Services to ensure your changes integrate seamlessly and positively impact adjacent domains.
  • Maintain and support the services your team owns: ensure systems are secure, observable, and performant in production; refactor and improve existing code to better serve customers.

You have

  • High proficiency with frontend languages (React, Next.js, TypeScript).
  • A track record of building web applications and services with strong fundamentals in web architecture, scalability and security.
  • Experience working with a design system is a bonus.

  • Passionate about empowering other engineering teams to be productive and deliver high quality products.
  • Someone who loves collaboration—our teams are cross-functional and you’ll work closely with other engineers, delivery leads, product managers, and designers to deliver outcomes together.
  • Keen to learn and equally keen to share your knowledge. You have a growth mindset and value feedback.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously. You proactively remove blockers, seek context, and call for support when it’s needed.
