Mō tō mātou rōpū | About the team 

The Student Hubs team is the physical gateway to Waipapa Taumata Rau | The University of Auckland. We provide a welcoming, friendly, and mana-enhancing service for future and current students across their student journey.

We deliver a wide range of services to support students on their journey at Waipapa Taumata Rau | University of Auckland. Our primary function is to deliver high quality in-person and online services that support students holistically. Our services include:  

  • Guidance and advice on being a student,   
  • Navigation of the University systems, spaces and processes,   
  • Information about study options,   
  • Support with applications and enrolments,   
  • Library & Student IT services.  

Our Senior Hub Assistants provide a high standard of customer service, assistance and advice across a wide range of enquiries, helping current and prospective students to successfully navigate aspects of their student journey at the University of Auckland.  They operate in a front-facing role as the first point of contact for services and provide supervisory support to Hub Assistants.

We are looking for highly motivated individuals to join our team of Senior Hub Assistants who:

  • Show empathy and genuine care in supporting tauira | students and colleagues

  • Bring a positive, energetic approach to engaging with tauira | students in a high-volume, complex work setting 
  • Comfortable stepping in to guide and support the team when needed
  • Ready to help coordinate tasks to keep operations running smoothly
     

Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

We have a full time, permanent vacancy, working 37.5 hours per week, with a salary range of $56,400 - $61,700 depending on skills and experience .
 

Location - Tai Tonga (Manukau) Student Hub

Shift pattern:

  • Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - 10am-6pm
  • Friday – 12pm-8pm
  • Saturday – 9am-5pm
