An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Integration Engineer to join our Strategy & Technology team based in North Sydney.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will act as the senior technical authority on a high-profile Oracle SOA to Azure Integration Services migration project, driving the design, development, and delivery of modern cloud-native integration solutions while mentoring internal engineering teams and establishing best-practice technical standards.

Reporting to the IT Project Manager, IT Business Applications, you will:

  • Lead the end-to-end design, build, and delivery of Azure Integration Services solutions.
  • Define technical architecture, integration patterns, frameworks, and engineering standards.
  • Lead the migration and modernisation of Oracle SOA integrations, including real-time services, messaging flows, and schedulers.
  • Develop cloud-native solutions using Azure Integration Services, including Logic Apps, Functions, API Management, Service Bus, and event-driven architectures.
  • Drive engineering excellence through CI/CD, automation, observability, secure coding, and testing practices.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to internal engineering teams.
  • Partner with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to influence technical outcomes and integration strategy.
  • Document architecture decisions, standards, and operational runbooks to support long-term sustainability.
  • Identify and mitigate technical, delivery, and operational risks while ensuring solutions meet governance, security, and compliance requirements.

What You’ll Bring

We're looking for a highly capable integration professional who combines deep technical expertise with leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.

You will ideally have:

  • 5-10 years' experience designing, building, and delivering enterprise integration solutions.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure Integration Services or equivalent cloud-native integration platforms.
  • Experience leading technical direction, making architecture decisions, and mentoring engineering teams.
  • Proven success delivering large-scale integration modernisation or legacy-to-cloud migration projects.
  • Strong understanding of integration architecture, API-led design, messaging, and event-driven solutions.
  • Practical development experience across technologies such as Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, .NET, REST APIs, scripting, CI/CD pipelines, and related integration technologies.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, Infrastructure as Code (Bicep/Terraform), and modern engineering practices.
  • Strong understanding of security principles including OAuth2, JWT, mTLS, identity management, and zero-trust concepts.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and communicate complex technical concepts effectively.
  • Experience with Oracle SOA, ESB, or other legacy integration platforms.
  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline; or equivalent combination of relevant industry experience and technical expertise.
