Kinross Gold Corporation is seeking a Senior Maintenance Planner for the Great Bear Project in Red Lake, Ontario, onsite with a 5×2 rotation and occasional Toronto presence. Reporting to the Mine Maintenance Lead, the role focuses on developing and coordinating safe, reliable, and cost‑effective maintenance plans for mobile and fixed equipment, leading planners, building the CMMS, creating long‑term forecasts, ensuring work orders are fully planned, coordinating with Supply Chain, planning major shutdowns, and delivering maintenance KPIs while mentoring the team and upholding Kinross safety and Safeground principles. Ideal candidates bring a degree in Mining or Mechanical Engineering or a Red Seal, 5+ years in mining maintenance planning, CMMS experience (SAP, Maximo, Oracle, JD Edwards), and the ability to learn new equipment; show underground and surface mining knowledge and a track record of reducing downtime and costs; relocation assistance available; base salary 118,000 to 122,000 plus STI and benefits; AI screening is used but humans decide; tailor your resume to match keywords and quantify impact.
The Great Bear project is a development-stage asset located in the renowned and prolific Red Lake mining district, and represents one of the most exciting recent gold discoveries globally. The project has excellent potential to become a top-tier deposit that could support a large, long-life mine complex. Kinross’ comprehensive exploration and development program will aim to support the vision of a quality, high-grade, open-pit mine and a longer-term, sizeable underground mine.
Reporting to the Mine Maintenance Lead, the Senior Maintenance Planner will be responsible for developing and coordinating maintenance plans and schedules that support safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations at the Kinross, Great Bear Project.
The Senior Maintenance Planner plays an important role in continuous improvement throughout site and provides leadership to planners and maintenance teams.
A Degree in Mining or Mechanical Engineering, or a Red Seal trade ticket in a relevant field. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
5+ years of maintenance planning experience in mining or heavy industry, including planning for both mobile and fixed equipment; experience mentoring or coordinating planners is an asset.

This position is based in Red Lake, Ontario, with one week per month spent in the Toronto office. In this role you will work a 5X2 rotation.

Compensation and Total Rewards
The base salary range for the Senior Maintenance Planner is $118,000 to $122,000 + Short Term Incentive Bonus, + Group Benefit Coverage.

The actual offer will be determined through a comprehensive evaluation of each candidate's experience, capabilities, and potential impact, along with consideration of internal equity, team structure, and benchmark market data for similar positions.
