In this role, you'll:


Lead and develop a high‑performing cyber offensive capability, managing a team of specialists focused on penetration testing and cyber‑attack simulation. You will provide both technical and people leadership, ensuring safe, controlled execution aligned with enterprise security guardrails.

 

You will drive the maturity of offensive security practices, including red teaming, adversary simulation, and tooling strategies. This includes selecting and optimising tools, understanding potential impacts, and continuously refining methods to improve effectiveness and reduce organisational risk.

 

You will translate technical findings into clear business insights, presenting risks, impacts, and recommendations to senior stakeholders. This includes defining and tracking meaningful metrics and KPIs to demonstrate program effectiveness and uplift organisational cyber maturity.

 

You will also oversee delivery through strong project management, ensuring testing activities are planned, communicated, and aligned with business priorities across a complex stakeholder landscape.

About you

 

You are an experienced cyber security leader with strong expertise in offensive security, including penetration testing, adversary simulation, and threat-informed testing.

 

You bring a minimum of 5 years’ experience in offensive security or cyber intelligence roles, with hands‑on expertise in tools such as Burp Suite, Cobalt Strike, and Metasploit, supported by relevant industry certifications.

 

You have proven experience leading technical teams, with the ability to guide specialists while maintaining oversight of tools, methodologies, and safe execution practices.

 

You are highly skilled in translating complex technical outputs into clear business insights, using metrics and KPIs to demonstrate impact and maturity.

 

You are a strong communicator and project leader, able to engage stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and deliver structured, high‑impact offensive security programs.

 

This is a Designated Security Assessed Position and requires Australian citizenship, along with the ability to obtain and maintain an NV1 Commonwealth Security Clearance.
