You want to play a part in making NSW a better place to work, live and travel.

You're passionate about public service and ready to lead a team of professionals, share your expertise and guide decision-making to help shape the future of our State.

In this role, you'll:

This is a senior leadership opportunity responsible for driving end-to-end delivery leadership and project controls capability across a complex portfolio of programs and projects within Transport for NSW, operating in the PD&E environment.

You will provide strategic oversight across large-scale Tier 1 programs and multi-disciplinary initiatives, ensuring projects are effectively planned, coordinated, governed, and delivered in alignment with organisational priorities and enterprise delivery standards.

The role combines portfolio delivery leadership with deep project controls expertise, ensuring strong integration across all key controls disciplines including planning, scheduling, risk, cost, governance, and performance reporting. You will work closely with program and project leadership, enabling functions, and technical teams to ensure delivery is structured, predictable, and aligned to business outcomes.

You will drive consistency in delivery practices, embedding standardised methodologies, governance frameworks, and assurance processes across the portfolio. A key focus will be ensuring that risks, issues, and dependencies are proactively identified, managed, and clearly communicated to senior leadership.

Working across a dynamic and highly matrixed environment, you will coordinate cross-program dependencies and sequencing, enabling effective prioritisation and minimising delivery conflicts. You will also provide portfolio-wide visibility of performance, risks, and interdependencies to support informed executive decision-making.

The role requires strong leadership of multi-disciplinary teams (direct and indirect), fostering collaboration, accountability, and a high-performing delivery culture. You will also drive continuous improvement of delivery practices, controls, and tools, uplifting delivery capability and maturity across the organisation.

You have proven capability leading multi-disciplinary teams, both direct and indirect, within matrix organisations, aligning teams toward common objectives and ensuring consistent delivery outcomes.
