Transport for NSW is recruiting two permanent Senior Manager, Work Health & Safety (Coordinator General) roles to lead safety excellence across a large multimodal business including Maritime, Light Rail and Buses. This boots-on-ground leadership position requires deep WHS expertise, current regulatory knowledge, and a proven ability to build and guide high performing teams through change via a partnering model with the Coordinator General division. You’ll provide expert contract safety management advice to senior stakeholders, champion a customer first safety culture, optimise processes and governance from design through delivery, and travel statewide to sites. About You
You bring deep expertise in safety management with strong knowledge of WH&S legislation, due diligence and regulatory requirements. Your tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience include demonstrated success in safety across modes. Ideally this would include Maritime, Rail and/or Buses.
As a leader, you've guided teams through change while uplifting culture and engagement. You build high-performing, collaborative teams and take a stakeholder-focused, customer-first approach that delivers results. Your willingness to be visible across construction sites statewide, combined with strategic thinking and excellent communication skills, will drive safety excellence in this dynamic partnering role.
