Transport for NSW is looking for a Technology Transformation Lead for a 12-month temporary role in Macquarie Park, spearheading a transformative technology program across Transport for NSW, the Department of Customer Service and Service NSW. You’ll set the target state architecture, apply enterprise architecture and human-centred design, keep security and compliance robust, and build trusted senior-stakeholder relationships to deliver value. This is a high‑impact, multi‑agency effort with hybrid work options. To apply, tailor your resume to show strategic technology leadership in large government transformations, governance and architecture, measurable outcomes, and strong collaboration with C-suite sponsors, then craft a concise cover letter linking your past wins to this program’s goals and timeline.
You’re a future-focused leader who embraces and helps others adapt to change.
You bring structure, mitigation and education to our organisation. Our records and datasets are vast and varied. This is your opportunity to safeguard critical infrastructure, order and protect sensitive data, and defend against emerging cyber threats. You'll be part of an expert team who protect against thousands of threats every day.
In this role, you'll:
be working as part of Group IT, leading a transformative technology program for Transport for NSW.
You’ll step into a pivotal leadership role within Group IT, guiding the technology roadmap for the Transport Licensing and Registration Systems Modernisation and Optimisation Program. This is a once‑in‑a‑lifetime program spanning Transport for NSW, the Department of Customer Service and Service NSW — a deep, multi‑agency collaboration designed to modernise legacy systems and build a future‑ready platform.
You’ll set the strategic direction for the program’s technology landscape, shaping the target state architecture and bringing clarity to complex decision‑making. You’ll champion human‑centred design, bring structure through enterprise architecture, and ensure the program is technically robust, secure and aligned with broader NSW Government strategies. Above all, you’ll influence, negotiate and build trusted relationships across senior stakeholders to deliver outcomes that matter.
This position is a temporary fixed term position until approx. 21/12/26. Your home base will be at Macquarie Park with Hybrid work arrangements.

You stay across emerging tech, understand how to apply it for real business value, and you’re confident shaping strategy with C‑suite leaders.
You’re known for being influential, collaborative and decisive — someone who can simplify the complex, guide senior sponsors, and build strong teams of architects, analysts and domain experts. You bring deep experience across technology strategy, enterprise architecture, digital transformation and customer‑centric design.
