We’re seeking an experienced and skilled operator to join our team as a Senior Network Operator. In this role, you’ll undertake specialist and technical tasks on the drinking water reticulation network, as well as provide on-site crew leadership and practical guidance when required.
You’ll be responsible for maintaining and servicing the network, operating pump stations and reservoirs, performing backflow testing, flushing mains, carrying out water sampling, and ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard. You’ll also support team members through on-job training, skills development, and competency coaching, while fostering a positive safety culture and delivering excellent customer service.
The ideal candidate will hold a Level 4 Water Reticulation qualification, have a minimum of five years’ experience in the water or a related industry, and be physically fit to meet the demands of the role. Strong planning, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Certifications such as confined spaces, breathing apparatus, STMS, and welding experience are highly desirable.
