Okta is looking for a Senior Product Marketing Specialist to lead the ANZ market from its Sydney base. Sitting in the APJ Regional Product Marketing team, this role owns the local product marketing agenda for Australia and New Zealand, collaborating with regional sales, field marketing, and global product marketing colleagues to help Okta accelerate growth in the region. The company focuses on securing identities for both AI and human use, and this position offers a chance to shape messaging and enable sales in a high-stakes area. You’ll report to the APJ Product Marketing leader, who is based in Japan, and you’ll be the primary regional voice for Okta and Auth0 go-to-market efforts in ANZ. The work blends translating global value propositions into ANZ-ready narratives, producing external content, and supporting PR and Analyst Relations, while representing Okta at regional events. It’s a hybrid role based in Sydney, built for someone who thrives on turning complex security and identity concepts into clear, customer-facing stories. This is a role for someone who enjoys building compelling understandings of technology for enterprise buyers, loves collaborating across marketing and sales functions, and wants to be a visible regional voice in the identity and security space. If you’re comfortable shaping messaging, enabling sales with practical tools, and speaking at events or webinars, you’ll likely find the work meaningful.

Shaping the ANZ product story

On a typical week, you’ll translate global Okta and Auth0 value propositions into narratives that land with Australian and New Zealand customers. You’ll craft external content, from messaging and solution briefs to blogs, customer collateral and presentation decks, that strike the right balance between technical clarity and business value. You’ll arm field sellers and channel partners with actionable product insights, competitive intelligence, and value-selling tools that align with regional and global plays. You’ll also represent Okta as a primary speaker at industry events, webinars, executive roundtables, and customer briefings across ANZ, and partner with regional PR and Analyst Relations teams to raise Okta’s market presence and analyst positioning in local channels. Collaboration with cross-functional marketing and sales leadership helps shape regional GTM planning, demand generation campaigns, and pipeline acceleration.

Must-have ingredients and nice-to-haves

You’ll want a track record that speaks to the role’s core work and the ANZ context. Must-haves include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, five or more years in product marketing, solutions marketing, presales, or technical consulting within SaaS or enterprise technology, and experience in Identity and Access Management or Security, or a strong willingness to learn the identity domain within a SaaS product marketing frame. A proven record in messaging development, content creation, sales enablement, and go-to-market execution is essential, as are excellent English written and spoken communications with experience presenting to technical and executive audiences. Cross-functional collaboration with Sales, PR, Analyst Relations, and Field Marketing is a must. Nice-to-haves include direct experience supporting Analyst Relations engagements and local PR campaigns, strong project-management capabilities with the ability to juggle multiple GTM priorities in a fast-moving environment, and a solid understanding of the ANZ market, particularly in Public Sector, Financial Services, Critical Infrastructure, and Enterprise customers.
