Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all management aspects, including day-to-day work allocation and supervision, of the PMC Engineering group and the oversight of the Contractor during the Engineering, Procurement phases of the Project.
- To ensure PMC Engineering personnel are competent to perform their duties relating to the scope of work as identified in the PMC Contract.
- To provide leadership in the development and implementation of engineering processes, procedures and systems operating within the Engineering group.
- To ensure the Engineering group is resourced with the correct disciplines and size to deliver against the requirements of the PMC Contract.
- To provide independent Project Management Consultancy services and technical opinion, and advice related to short falls, recovery plans, minimizing potential risks and maintaining overall Project progress during the Engineering and Procurement phases in the Contractor's Home Offices.
- Participating in the design review and analysis consistent with requirements, including consideration of constructability, testability, operability, and maintainability, system interactions; environmental considerations; personnel safety and fire protection; and proper selection of materials.
- Ensuring the orderly technical review coordination, and processing of vendor documents.
- Securing approval from the Owner for the Engineering design in accordance with the Contract requirements.
- Manage the day today interfacing between the Projects and the disciplines of Piping, Mechanical, Structural, and E&I and specialist disciplines.
- Participate in key customer reviews and meetings as required.
- Conduct succession planning within the engineering team, especially for key roles.
- Implement competence assessments and regular performance assessments with Team.
- Ensure team know and work to procedures in order to be efficient and right first time.
- Provide development opportunities for personnel - to increase breadth of experience and capability.
- Site visits to demonstrate safety leadership.
- Develop and maintain effective working practices for the Wood project management team.
- Provide, with full responsibility and accountability, leadership and excellence in the achievement of coordinating both technical and governance through the different stages of the Project.
- Identify and communicate project team objectives in accordance with the contract terms, scope of work and corporate policy.
- Organize the project team, define individual responsibilities and motivate team members towards successful achievement of specified project goals, particularly through regular project meetings.
- Delegate work to the project team members in a manner that encourages individual responsibility.
- Achieve scheduled performance, cost, quality and HSE requirements from award to acceptance.
- Provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders during project execution to meet project objectives.
- Oversee different contracting parties, owners, customers, government bodies and existing facilities in coordination.
- Manage complicated issues among different project phases and the existing facilities.
- Provide leadership and management for the PMT and Contractor to ensure safe, cost effective and timely resolution of all interfaces.
- Ensure that company policies, procedures and controls are adhered to at all times.
- Be exposed to different cultures, backgrounds and environments. Attend to and resolve conflicts, challenges and problems related to a large multi-cultural and multi-discipline technical workforce.
- Carryout Technical Evaluation of Bids, Issue Bid Technical Clarifications, Technical Evaluation Reports and Recommendations.

Ensuring incorporating, where applicable, the field-requested and/or -initiated changes to Engineering deliverables.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering or equivalent from an accredited university with a minimum of fifteen (15+) years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry, including minimum five (5) years (preferred) in GCC region.
- Must have at least three (3) years of experience in similar position for international major Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects.
- Experience within FEED & EPC experience required.
- Experience in PMC roles.
- Must have previous experience working in offshore projects.
