Senior Purchaser at Nexans in Neuchâtel oversees Local Site Purchasing and Local Vendor Management, reassessing needs, launching RFIs, designing RFQ contracts, and implementing a continuous improvement plan. You’ll help define the category strategy for the Business Units in line with the group vision, ensure alignment of practices across BU sites, and manage purchases above €100,000 while coordinating with the non-production purchasing COE for requests over €250,000. You’ll provide reports to the plant/site manager and to SPM and Group Purchasing, and drive Nexans processes and transversal purchasing initiatives on your perimeter. The Senior Purchaser will oversee the following activities on the site for which he/she is responsible:
- Responsible for Local Site Purchasing and Local Vendor Management: reassessment of needs, launch of RFI, RFQ contract designs, implementation and monitoring of continuous improvement plan.
- Supports the definition of the category strategy / Business Units, in line with the vision of the group, their Business Unit, and ensure the alignment of group practices / BU / sites.
- For Purchases> € 100,000, it is responsible for the Purchasing performance and the implementation of Procurement strategies, contracts and / or agreements negotiated by the Group. Works and returns requirements to non-production purchasing COE for all purchases over 250 000€.
- Provide relevant reports to plant manager / site manager related to purchasing activities and performance
- Provide relevant reports to the SPM and Group Purchasing Department on the performance and all the Purchasing activities related to the site
- Responsible for implementation of Nexans Processes and Standard Purchasing
- Responsible for the implementation of transversal Group Purchasing initiatives on his/her perimeter
