Arctic Wolf is hiring for a Senior Security Engineer - AU, a remote role based in the Australia Capital Territory. The company is a global leader in security operations, helping organizations stay resilient against evolving cyber threats through cloud-based security services, threat intelligence, and a people-first approach. With more than 3,000 Pack members worldwide, the team focuses on customer outcomes, scalable innovation, and a collaborative culture where security professionals can make a real difference. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys solving complex security problems for enterprise customers from a distance.

The Security Engineer/Consultant 3 (CSE3) works to strengthen the technical bond with assigned customers, applying their expertise to deliver Arctic Wolf’s security services and guidance. You’ll be the primary technical contact for your clients, combining hands-on security work with clear communication to keep stakeholders informed and engaged. The role blends hands-on security with advisory and support duties, so you’ll regularly translate findings into practical steps for non-technical teammates while helping customers achieve stronger security postures.

In practice, you’ll operate at the intersection of several disciplines, security operations, architecture, incident response, and technical customer support. You’ll implement, oversee, and optimize security infrastructure across multiple enterprises by leveraging Arctic Wolf’s cloud platform, working alongside a Concierge Security Analyst and Customer Success Managers, and taking ownership of the customer security journey. The position reflects a strong sense of ownership and a commitment to protecting clients’ data and systems.

Partnering with clients to secure networks

Your day-to-day revolves around building trusting partnerships with customers and turning security data into actionable guidance. You’ll examine logs and system data from firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus, content filtering, proxies, and other IT components to uncover threats and opportunities for improvement. You’ll also interact with a mix of internal teams and external stakeholders, translating technical concepts so non-technical audiences can follow along and ask informed questions.

As the lead technical contact, you’ll diagnose problems, support customer requests, and advocate for your customers within the Arctic Wolf team. You’ll balance technical fixes with thoughtful customer communication, ensuring stakeholders understand what's happening and why it matters. You’ll also mentor junior analysts, helping them grow their skills and broaden their professional confidence as they support customers day to day.

Arctic Wolf expects you to feel ownership over your customers’ security posture and to represent their interests across the organization. The role sits alongside a Concierge Security Analyst and Customer Success Managers, providing a collaborative environment where customer outcomes come first and continuous improvement is encouraged.

Tips for your Arctic Wolf application

Lead your resume with your security-focused experience and any relevant admin work, especially highlighting at least three years in information security and three years in network, system, or cloud administration if you have them. This helps show you meet the core must-haves right away.

Pair your claims with concrete examples. Describe specific incidents you analyzed, the logs you worked with, and how you used scripting to automate tasks or speed detection and response, so the reader can verify your hands-on capabilities.

Be ready to discuss customer-facing work. Prepare a scenario that shows you owned an issue from discovery to remediation and how you communicated progress to non-technical stakeholders while protecting client confidentiality and security.

When you ask a question in the interview, make it practical. A good prompt could be about how the CSE role collaborates with Concierge Security Analysts and Customer Success Managers to measure improvements in a customer’s security posture and what success looks like in the first quarter.
