Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:

 

We are seeking a Senior Specialist, DC Operations to help support the day-to-day performance, alignment, and continuous improvement of our distribution centre and logistics operations across Australia.


Reporting to the Senior Manager, DC Operations, you will work closely with internal stakeholders and third-party logistics partners to ensure operational priorities are clear, issues are resolved quickly, and performance continues to improve.


Using operational data and insights, you will support informed decision-making and turn information into practical action through strong stakeholder management, clear communication, and effective problem-solving.


Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Support the day-to-day performance of distribution centre and logistics operations in Australia
  • Act as a key operational partner to the DC Manager, internal stakeholders, and third-party logistics partners to support smooth day-to-day execution
  • Work closely with 3PL partners to align on operational priorities, volumes, service expectations, and performance outcomes
  • Monitor and report on warehouse performance across productivity, OTIF, service levels, inventory accuracy, and cost
  • Analyse operational data to identify risks, trends, issues, and improvement opportunities
  • Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliations, stock adjustments, and system alignment
  • Provide clear visibility of stock and operational performance to planning, commercial, and internal stakeholder teams
  • Support issue resolution across DC operations, including stock discrepancies, service performance, and operational blockers
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, process optimisation, and operational projects

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

 

  • Strong understanding of distribution centre, warehouse, or logistics operations
  • Comfortable supporting day-to-day operational execution in a fast-paced DC environment
  • Experience working with third-party logistics providers, including performance tracking, issue resolution, and operational follow-up
  • Ability to monitor operational performance, identify issues, and drive practical improvements
  • Good understanding of warehouse KPIs such as productivity, SLA, OTIF, inventory accuracy, service levels, and capacity
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data into clear, actionable insight
  • Experience working with SAP, WMS, and/or TMS systems
  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office capability
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

 

Requisite Education & Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Three to five years’ experience in distribution, logistics, or supply chain analytics
  • Experience working with third party logistics providers in Australia
  • Experience using operational data, reporting, and performance insights to support decision-making and improvement
