Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:

 

This role is responsible for driving profitable, sustainable growth across adidas’ most important fashion and lifestyle partners in New Zealand.

You will own the commercial relationship with leading fashion, streetwear and lifestyle retailers, ensuring adidas continues to grow its brand heat, cultural relevance and market share, while protecting and elevating brand positioning in the local marketplace.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Own and deliver the net sales performance of assigned NZ Fashion accounts

  • Build deep, trusted partnerships with key customers across buying, planning and leadership teams

  • Lead the end-to-end Go-To-Market process including seasonal sell-in, range curation, forecasting and commercial planning

  • Translate global adidas Originals and Fashion strategy into compelling local account plans

  • Develop and execute account-specific marketing and activation plans to drive sell-through and brand impact

  • Own and manage customer investment and marketing budgets

  • Drive order book management, forecasting accuracy and in-season trading performance

  • Analyse sell-through, performance and market trends to unlock growth opportunities

  • Prepare and lead quarterly business reviews and long-term strategic account plans

  • Monitor the competitive landscape and proactively identify commercial opportunities or risks

  • Work closely with supply chain, finance, brand and category teams to ensure strong execution across product, marketing and operations

  • Travel across New Zealand to support key partners with range reviews, VM execution, trading and relationship development

  • Represent adidas at key industry, customer and brand events

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

 

  • Strong commercial mindset with excellent negotiation and influencing skills

  • Deep understanding of fashion, streetwear, lifestyle and premium retail environments

  • Proven ability to build senior, trust-based customer relationships

  • Highly analytical with strong planning, forecasting and performance management capability

  • Confident presenter and communicator

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, matrix organisation

  • High level of ownership, accountability and self-drive

  • Willingness to travel domestically as required

 

Requisite Education & Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Tertiary qualification preferred

  • 4–5+ years experience in key account management, wholesale or commercial sales

  • Experience within fashion, lifestyle or sportswear highly regarded

  • Strong understanding of the NZ retail landscape

  • Wholesale and local market experience essential
