The
Senior Technical QA Analyst strengthens cross-project quality infrastructure by combining backend validation expertise with automation framework development.
This role focuses on improving release confidence, reducing manual regression effort, and increasing technical risk coverage across live projects. The position works collaboratively with QA Governance leads, development partners, and DevOps teams to ensure scalable and sustainable quality practices.
In this role, you can expect to:
- Key Accountabilities
- Technical Systems Validation:
- Own validation of backend systems, APIs, and data flows.
- Conduct deep technical investigations for complex defects.
- Validate database integrity and service interactions.
- Support root cause analysis for production issues.
- Identify systemic technical risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Automation Framework Development:
- Maintain scalable automation frameworks with the support of developers.
- Operate and maintain automated API and backend validation suites with the support of backend developers.
- Improve regression coverage aligned with defined risk priorities.
- Ensure maintainability, performance, and documentation of automation assets.
- Contribute to automation test plans in collaboration with the rest of the QA team.
- CI/CD and Tooling Integration:
- Improve reporting and visibility of automated test results.
- Collaborate with DevOps to enhance environment reliability and test infrastructure.
- Support tooling enhancements that increase QA efficiency.
- Cross-Project Alignment:
- Promote consistent automation and technical validation standards across projects.
- Document frameworks, validation strategies, and onboarding materials.
- Partner with Senior QA Analysts to ensure alignment between automation coverage and feature risk levels.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Establish effective communication channels with development partners.
- Provide technical quality insights to the QA team to support release decision-making.
- Foster knowledge transfer within the QA team to ensure sustainable practices.
To be successful in this role, your background includes:
- 5+ years experience in software testing, including automation and backend validation.
- Strong experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, RestAssured, Java/JavaScript).
- Solid backend and API testing experience.
- Familiarity with SQL and database validation.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience in live game or mobile environments preferred.
