In this role, you’ll support the delivery of a variety of Civil Construction projects throughout Otago. We are currently delivering work ranging from Bridges, Commercial/Industrial Foundations, Wastewater Pump Stations and Retaining Walls.

You will be:  

  • Involved with set up, planning, quality control, and pulling together resource to complete the project
  • Interpreting contract documentation into a work instruction to communicate to crews to allow them to build it
  • Focusing on quality and compliance of projects and make sure they are built to spec
  • Undertaking technical ‘hands-on’ activities as required

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Bachelor or Diploma of Civil Engineering
  • Experience and a great understanding within civil construction relating to bridge building, piling, temporary works, building retaining structures, concrete formwork, concrete spall repairs and concrete placing/finishing
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Graduate Engineer
  • Full Class 1 driver licence
  • Knowledge of underlying engineering principles that represent good practice with NZ Civil
  • An understanding of project management principles
