In this role, you'll:
Lead the definition, development, and lifecycle management of ICT products and services, ensuring they deliver measurable value and align with organisational objectives. You’ll provide strategic insight into how technology can best support business needs, balancing opportunities with constraints such as resources, funding, and delivery timelines, while ensuring solutions align with enterprise architecture.
Manage product delivery approaches and supplier relationships to maximise service quality and value for money. You’ll oversee service performance against agreed outcomes, define and manage service level agreements, and ensure that ICT services deliver expected business benefits. You’ll also foster strong collaboration, demonstrate leadership behaviours, and drive continuous improvement across teams and stakeholders.
Navigate key challenges including maintaining financial viability of services and balancing immediate business demands with long-term strategic priorities. You’ll build and maintain effective relationships across internal teams, executives, external stakeholders, and government partners, ensuring clear communication, issue resolution, and contribution to informed decision-making and successful organisational outcomes.

About you
You’ll lead end-to-end product development, taking ideas through to delivery, deployment and ongoing improvement. You’ll own quality by putting strong QA practices in place, and you’ll drive legacy product transformation, so systems stay modern and fit for purpose. You’ll make sure every product enhancement adds real value, and you’ll ensure development is always done in line with Transport standards and guidelines.
You’ll manage development teams and guide how services, integrations, APIs and microservices are designed and built. You’ll mentor your team and lift their capability, making sure ways of working stay consistent and aligned with best practice. You’ll oversee development across AWS and Azure, including Kubernetes, and you’ll make sure applications are secure, reliable and built with a strong security posture.
You’ll bring your 10+ years of experience to lead delivery across complex platforms and technology stacks, spanning backend, frontend and mobile. You’ll work with modern tools and frameworks, drive strong DevOps practices, and keep teams aligned and moving forward. You’ll build strong relationships, solve complex problems, and communicate clearly so everyone stays focused on delivering great outcomes.
