Responsibilities
About XPENG XPENG is a global AI and technology company building intelligent mobility solutions that transform how people move, connect and experience the world. Founded in China and operating across Europe, XPENG brings together advanced AI, software, robotics, design and next generation mobility. Our vehicles are one expression of a much broader ambition: to make intelligent technology more human, intuitive and accessible. In Europe, we are building a distinctive brand at the intersection of technology, culture and human behaviour. We believe communication should be human first, emotion first and technology second, with products providing the proof. The opportunity We are looking for a hands-on Social Media Explorer to help execute XPENG Europe’s social media programme. Reporting to the European Communications Lead and working within the agreed European communications and brand strategy, you will turn priorities into weekly content, platform native assets and measurable campaigns across markets. This is an individual contributor role for someone early in their career who already has solid professional social media experience and wants to grow in a complex international environment. You will work closely with the European Communications Lead while personally writing copy, adapting assets, preparing briefs, coordinating approvals, maintaining calendars and trackers, publishing content and supporting reporting. A key part of the role is helping strong content travel across borders, so markets can build on one another instead of recreating the same work country by country. What you will do - Build, maintain and execute the weekly European social media content calendar in line with the agreed strategy, brand narrative, launches and cultural moments. - Turn agreed European priorities into channel specific content that can work across borders and platforms, with clear guidance for meaningful local adaptation. - Help create scalable, modular content packages that European markets can adapt efficiently for their own channels and audiences. - Write, edit and proofread English social copy and prepare platform ready posts, briefs and publishing materials. - Create, resize and adapt social assets when needed, using design and editing tools to deliver agile, platform native content without compromising brand quality. - Collect input and assets from local markets, spot local stories with wider potential and help turn the strongest ideas into reusable European content. - Actively share assets, formats, learnings and best practices between markets, and help coordinate joint content opportunities. - Support day to day content alignment with the social media team at XPENG headquarters in China by consolidating feedback, keeping action lists current and following up on agreed deadlines. - Prepare, quality check and coordinate the publication of content across European social channels, ensuring copy, assets, links, formats and timings are correct. - Support live social coverage around launches, test drive events and brand moments, including shot lists, asset collection, rapid adaptation and timely publishing. - Prepare clear creative and production briefs and coordinate with agencies, designers, markets and internal stakeholders through approval and publication. - Maintain project plans, production timelines, approval flows and trackers, flagging risks early and following open actions through to completion. - Monitor platform developments, audience behaviour, cultural trends, regulations and emerging tools, and share practical observations with the European Communications Lead. - Collect and validate performance data and help prepare monthly reports on content, channels, markets and campaign effectiveness. - Maintain an organised European library of social media assets, briefs, agreements, performance data and best practices. - Support launches and live moments across Europe and China, with the flexibility to work outside standard office hours when events, production schedules or real time opportunities require it.
Qualifications
What you bring - 3–4 years of relevant professional experience gained specifically within a social media agency or an in-house social media role at a large international company. - Hands-on experience creating and adapting social content, managing content calendars and coordinating approvals across multiple stakeholders. - Practical experience publishing or preparing social content, quality checking platform assets and supporting live or reactive social coverage. - Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to write accurate, engaging copy for different audiences and platforms. - A university level standard of thinking and communication. A degree at university or university of applied sciences level is welcome, but relevant experience, judgement and capability matter most. - A sound understanding of major social platforms, their audiences, formats, measurement methods and evolving regulatory environment. - Practical working knowledge of design and content creation tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, Figma or comparable editing platforms. - A genuine interest in the intersection of technology, art, culture and human behaviour across different European cultures. - The curiosity and communication skills to bridge cultural and working style differences between China, European headquarters, local markets and agencies. - Willingness to travel across Europe and to China for approximately 30% of the role. How you work Highly organised: You enjoy creating structure, working from clear priorities and keeping calendars, trackers and documentation accurate. Strong on follow-through: You confirm actions and deadlines, follow up constructively and do not let open tasks quietly disappear. Creative and practical: You understand what makes content culturally relevant and engaging, and you can turn feedback into a strong finished asset. Proactive and eager to learn: You ask the right questions, take ownership of your work and surface uncertainty or risks early. Calm under pressure: You remain precise and dependable during launches, events and last minute changes. Collaborative across cultures: You listen well, communicate clearly and adapt your approach without losing sight of the objective. What success looks like - A reliable weekly content rhythm, with accurate calendars, clear actions and consistently on-time delivery. - Smooth daily coordination between the European team, HQ in China and local markets, with fewer missed handovers and less reactive work. - More strong content reused and successfully adapted across markets, reducing duplication and increasing European consistency and reach. - Consistent, platform native content that brings XPENG Europe’s agreed brand narrative to life. - Accurate, timely publishing and dependable social coverage around launches, events and real time opportunities. - Accurate reporting and useful observations that help the team improve future content and campaign execution. Why join XPENG? This is an opportunity to grow your craft while bringing the European voice of one of the world’s most ambitious AI and mobility companies to life. You will work across markets, cultures and disciplines, with direct exposure to major launches, content productions, media moments and teams in both Europe and China. The pace is high, the scope is international and your work will have visible impact. XPENG is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace. We welcome candidates from different backgrounds who bring the skills, judgement and mindset to help us connect intelligent technology with real human lives.
