About the Role

At We Are Era, strategy is not a talking point for slides. Strategy is what makes the difference between proposals that feel generic and pitches that actually get won. As our commercial ambitions grow, so does the need for sharper thinking, stronger stories and clearer choices. That’s why we are looking for a Social Strategist who is able to translate client challenges into a convincing, social-first strategy. We are looking for someone who thrives in high-pressure situations, where giving direction is essential. 

This role exists to structurally raise the bar in our pitches and proposals, and to bring focus, conviction and clarity at the moments that truly matter. 

Your Tasks

As a Social Strategist, you are responsible for the strategic backbone of our pitches and proposals. You will be involved in: 

• Translating incoming briefings into strong, social-first strategic directions
• Defining the core story, positioning, and rationale behind proposals
• Working closely with Sales, Creative and Production teams on winning pitches
• Applying structure, focus and sharp choices in fast pitch processes
• Safeguarding strategic quality and daring to say ‘no’ when ideas dilute the story 
  Helping to raise the strategic level within the team
• You don't just support pitches, you help determine why they are right and why they should win

• You are able to turn complex briefings into clear, convincing choices 
• You are comfortable making decisions based on incomplete information
• You are not afraid to challenge ideas, including those from commercial or creative colleagues
• You work fast, stay sharp under pressure and take pride in the quality of your thinking
• You value ownership and responsibility over endless alignment
• This is not a role for people who prefer long timelines, endless iterations or a safe place in the background
• Languages: Dutch (fluent) + English (professional)
