Position Overview: 

The Software Engineer II is a mid-level contributor responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software systems with moderate supervision. This role requires a solid foundation in software engineering principles and the ability to take ownership of components and deliver quality solutions. The Software Engineer II collaborates across teams, participates in architectural discussions, and mentors junior engineers. With a focus on continuous improvement, this role supports the execution of complex initiatives and contributes to the evolution of development practices. Ideal candidates demonstrate initiative, technical proficiency, and a growing ability to influence project outcomes.

Essential Functions:  

  • Design, implement, and enhance software/firmware features with moderate supervision.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Develop software for microcontroller and processor-based systems.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical decision-making.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex software, performance issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement in development workflows, tools, and practices.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, support product validation, manufacturing and field issue investigation.

Required Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages and relevant frameworks.
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills. (JTAG/SWD debuggers, Oscilloscopes, logic analysers, protocol analysers)
  • Experience with version control, issue tracking, and collaborative development tools.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more Micro Controllers (MCU)
  • Strong understanding of communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN & BLE)

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Strong programming skills in C/C++
  • Familiarity with ARM Cortex-M architectures
  • Understanding of low-power and battery-operated embedded system design.
  • Exposure to functional safety standards and secure software development practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with software architecture and design patterns.
  • Prior experience with Embedded real-time operating systems [RTOS] (FreeRTOS, Zephyr).

Working Conditions:

  • In office on a hybrid basis is required

  • Mostly office environment and in engineer labs.

  • May be required to perform field tests.

Pay Verbiage  

This exciting position offers an annual base salary range between 62,500 EUR to 85,800 EUR annually. The actual salary offer will consider a wide range of factors, including skills, experience, and location. 

This salary will be pro-rated based on any part-time working agreement.  

This position is eligible for participation in discretionary bonus plan, in accordance with company policies.
