Transport for NSW is seeking an experienced Solution Architect (Regulatory) to play a critical role in designing and delivering technology solutions that enable better business information access, governance, compliance, and data-driven decision-making across the organisation.

 

This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic and technically skilled architect who can translate business needs into practical, scalable technology solutions while working across a diverse range of stakeholders, projects and enterprise environments.

 

As a trusted advisor, you will contribute to the development of architecture standards and solution designs that support Transport's technology strategy and regulatory objectives, ensuring technology investments deliver long-term business value.

 

What You'll Be Doing

 

As a Solution Architect, you will:

 

  • Translate strategic technology objectives into practical solutions, applications and services that address complex business challenges.

 

  • Develop, maintain and support solution architecture models, standards, policies and procedures.

 

  • Design and deliver solution architectures that align with enterprise technology strategies and business objectives.

 

  • Collaborate with project managers, business stakeholders and technical teams to develop solution designs and reduce technical complexity.

 

  • Produce and review solution design documentation, ensuring clear definition of requirements, capabilities and implementation approaches.

 

  • Provide expert guidance and recommendations on architecture options throughout the project lifecycle.

 

  • Promote the effective use of information governance frameworks, standards and tools to support compliance and information management outcomes.

 

  • Support the continuous improvement of information, data and technology architecture practices across the organisation.

 

  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external government agencies to support successful project outcomes.

About you

 

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience delivering solution architecture within complex enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of solution design principles, architecture frameworks and information management practices.
  • Experience developing architecture artefacts, solution designs and technical documentation.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working across multiple projects and engaging with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience.
