Exciting opportunity for a Sous Chef at the Novotel Wolverhampton, part of the Accor network, full-time in the city centre. You will report to the Head Chef, run a busy kitchen, and coordinate with front of house to ensure smooth service, with flexibility for peak shifts. Core duties include delivering high quality dishes, managing orders to protect menu availability and minimise waste, daily HACCP monitoring, maintaining health and safety, and mentoring a small kitchen team. Requirements: Level 2 or 3 Food Safety, proven Sous Chef or senior CDP experience in a hotel or busy kitchen, strong leadership and communication. Job Description


As Sous Chef, you will report to the Head Chef, ensuring seamless kitchen operations, integrating with the front of house team to ensure smooth service. Deputise in the absence of the Head Chef.

Straight shifts with flexilbilty to cover the business needs.

Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure that every dish in prepared and executed to the highest standards.
• Food ordering to ensure full menu availability and minimum wastage
• Daily due diligence with HACCP procedures
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to exceed our external audits
• Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain high food standards.

Qualifications

Level 2 or 3 Food Safety
• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior CDP in a busy kitchen environment, ideally hotel based
• Strong culinary skills and a passion for quality.
• Leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to guide a small kitchen team
