Information Services branch (ISB) delivers digital and information technologies to maintain and enhance Council’s information, processes and systems, and enable data driven insights to improve decision-making and customer experience. 

The Role

This is a rare opportunity to own and shape a mission‑critical spatial platform that supports city‑wide services and smarter decision‑making. As Spatial Platform Administrator, you’ll be the technical authority for a complex enterprise ecosystem - driving reliability, security, performance and seamless integration across systems that matter to how Brisbane operates every day.

Working at enterprise scale, you’ll blend deep technical expertise with service leadership, partnering with stakeholders, vendors and leaders across Council. You’ll guide platform strategy, lead ITIL‑aligned service delivery, and continuously improve how spatial technology enables outcomes for the city and its communities - making a tangible impact through technology that truly matters.

To be successful you will have:

  • understanding of spatial concepts and GIS system capabilities
  • strong experience supporting and optimising complex enterprise applications
  • proven ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in live production environments
  • solid understanding of ITIL service management and SLA‑driven operations
  • confidence engaging stakeholders and providing clear, practical technical advice
  • the ability to lead through influence and collaborate across teams and vendors.
