Three casual Specialised Carer Dementia Carers are being sought at HammondCare Erina to join our cottage-style residential team. You will deliver tailored personal care, meal preparation, life engagement activities and dementia support, with onsite orientation, buddy shifts and support from Registered Nurses and Managers. To succeed, show a genuine passion for serving elderly people, flexibility to cover nights and weekends, the ability to work in a team and independently, and knowledge of dementia care; Cert III or Cert IV in Aged Care are preferred. HammondCare Erina is currently looking for 3 Casual Specialised Carer -Dementia Carers to join our team.

Please note: Our team needs stable availability at this time. Students may not be considered.

Our Model of Care:

With our unique cottage-style model of care, you will help create a home away from home for our residents. This role requires you to provide tailored care including personal support within the residential home.

You will be responsible for:

• Personal care – showering, grooming, toileting etc
• Meal preparation and cooking
• Provide life engagement and activities
• Support residents with levels of dementia
• Recognise, report and respond appropriately to changes in the conditions of residents within your skills and competencies

All new staff will complete an onsite orientation with a Workplace Trainer, have buddy shifts and be supported by experienced Registered Nurses and Managers on site.

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Have a genuine passion for serving elderly people & want to make a difference in their lives
• Be flexible and able to commit to a range of shifts including nights & weekends
• Value teamwork but also be able to work independently and show initiative
• Have knowledge & experience of people living with Dementia & their needs
• Applicants with Cert lll or Cert lV in Aged Care would be viewed favourably
