Oral Health Victoria is hiring a part-time Sessional Specialist Dentist in Oral Medicine (Level 1–2) to join the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne, with 7 or 14 hours per week at Carlton and a pay rate of $147.37 to $183.17 per hour depending on experience. Reporting to the Head of Unit Oral Medicine, you will provide specialist care within a publicly funded service, supervise students and staff, and liaise with other clinical services while treating patients with disabilities and complex medical histories. About the role: 

We have an exciting opportunity for an Oral Medicine Specialist to join our team at the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne (RDHM). This role will report to the Head of Unit – Oral Medicine. You will be responsible for providing specialist dental care within the scope of a publicly funded dental service, including patients with disabilities and complex medical histories. You will also act as a consultant in relation to the specialty and liaise closely with other clinical services and service providers. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

• Providing direct, quality patient care in accordance with OHV clinical standards and policies. 
• Managing patients within competency and experience levels. 
• Undertaking clinical supervision/direction/support of postgraduates, dentists, dental auxiliaries, or under-graduates, where appropriate.

To be successful in this role you will need: 

• A specialist qualification recognised with AHPRA 
• Knowledge in the management of dental public health programs. 
• Experience in providing clinical leadership and supervising clinical duties of staff. 
• Experience in treating clients with high needs
