Specialist – Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)

Kinetic is seeking a capable and people-focused HSE Specialist to join our growing national safety team. Reporting to the Head of Health, Safety and Environment, this role will play a key part in strengthening our enterprise safety systems, supporting operational teams, and driving initiatives that enhance our safety culture across the business.

Based at our Collins Street office, you will partner closely with Service Delivery teams to provide expert advice, deliver national programs and support continuous improvement of our safety management system.

About the role

  • Partner with operational teams to embed and improve safety systems and practices
  • Act as superuser for the enterprise safety management system, providing training and driving system improvements
  • Provide HSE advisory support to a portfolio of smaller operational regions
  • Design and deliver national HSE programs focused on incident and injury reduction, psychosocial risk and wellbeing
  • Standardise HSE procedures, work instructions and compliance programs
  • Lead incident and near miss investigations, identifying root causes and preventative actions
  • Conduct risk assessments for operational changes, new equipment and workplace modifications
  • Support assurance and compliance activities aligned to the audit schedule
  • Maintain accurate HSE data, analytics and reporting for internal and external stakeholders

About you

  • Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety (minimum)
  • Lead Auditor and ICAM qualifications highly regarded
  • Experience working in a risk-diverse or operational environment
  • Demonstrated ability to engage, consult and positively influence stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and reporting capability
  • Pragmatic, hands-on approach with the ability to drive sustainable change
  • High emotional intelligence with a genuine commitment to people-focused safety
  • Comfortable working both strategically and operationally
