Job Description

Looking for structured supervision, mentoring and CPD opportunities, we've got you!

Based in Broadmeadow, you'll provide support to NDIS participants living across the broader Newcastle, Hunter and Maitland region (depending on where you live) whilst working in a collaborative MDT of Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists and Behavior Support Practitioners. You'll support participants in childcare centres, schools, aged care facilities, day programs, the community, homes, and/or our clinic space. 

We offer an environment to learn and grow together, you'll have access to weekly supervision with your team leader, discipline specific team meetings, team building events, and regular CPD. If you are excited about working across the lifespan with physical disability, paediatrics, adults, psychosocial conditions, and neurodevelopmental conditions, we are the team for you! 

Your role will include:

  • Manage an allocated caseload (based on your negotiated hours) and deliver timely therapeutic services
  • Our Early Years caseload (0-5) –   Early intervention and parent coaching (including speech sounds, early language, feeding, school-readiness)
  • School-aged children (5-18) – Literacy, social communication, speech, language, fluency, voice, feeding and AAC assessment and implementation.
  • Adults – Functional communication, speech, language, fluency, dysphagia and mealtime management, neurodegenerative diseases, stroke and acquired brain injury rehabilitation.
  • Neuro-affirming supports to our large neurodivergent population of all age groups.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia as a Speech Pathologist
  • A passion for collaborating in a multi-disciplinary team
  • A desire to make a real difference within the community
  • A current full driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
