The role leads new product development of rugged ICT connectors, translating customer needs into robust specs, performing analyses, and delivering production-ready concepts from concept to production using Creo, FEA, and 3D models. You will lead DFMEA, DVPR and PVPR, coordinate lab testing, and collaborate with OEMs, suppliers and global teams to meet roadmaps while optimizing manufacturability and cost. Requirements include a mechanical engineering degree, 5+ years in product development, Creo, molding and stamping experience, materials knowledge, Windchill, and PPAP/USCAR/SAE/ISO familiarity; strong VOC and communication skills. A Product Development Engineer is a foundational member of the product launch team challenged to deliver rugged, manufacturing-ready designs through to production. Product Development Engineers serve as technical leaders who collaborate extensively with OEMs, tier-one suppliers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to drive innovative connectivity solutions from concept to market.
In this role, you will translate customer requirements into robust product specifications, conduct comprehensive engineering analysis/test, and develop creative design concepts through sketches and detailed 3D CAD modeling.
This position will be located in Winston-Salem, NC.
COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $115,400 – $144,200 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
