Tomra Collection Australia is seeking a Statistician - Geospatial Forecasting to guide site planning and profitability decisions across Pacific markets, onsite in St Leonards, NSW. You will leverage geospatial and volume data to optimise network coverage, assess drive time accessibility, and govern mapping standards for accuracy and consistency. Key duties include building geospatial and financial models, analysing demographics and mobility trends, creating visuals and dashboards, and collaborating with internal teams and external data providers. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in data science or statistics, with proven multivariate modelling and GIS familiarity, plus strong stakeholder communication and Pacific market awareness. In this role, you’ll leverage geospatial and volume data to support site planning and optimisation, assess profitability, and ensure our network coverage aligns with service delivery goals.
With a strong foundation in data modelling and statistical analysis, you’ll evaluate key variables such as population density, socioeconomic indicators, drive-time accessibility, and competitive landscape. You’ll also lead the governance of geospatial mapping standards across TCA, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance in all mapping activities.
