Job Description

We’re looking for 2 x experienced Store Development Project Managers to lead the planning and delivery of new stores, store fitouts, refurbishments and category projects - creating aspirational, customer-focused environments that support our operational performance and commercial goals.

One role will partner with Noel Leeming, while the other will support The Warehouse and Warehouse Stationery, working closely with each brand to deliver best-in-class retail environments.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of end-to-end project delivery - from planning through to completion. You’ll ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget, while meeting all compliance, safety, and quality standards.

Your Role: 

  • Delivering new stores, refits and category works across Noel Leeming
  • Management of store builds and category project development and delivery
  • Procurement of fixtures, contractor management and tender processes 
  • Improving the customer environment & experience by understanding trends and gathering customer feedback 
  • Planning and supporting the delivery of new retail layouts based on merchandise requirements & ideal customer journey

With stores across the NZ, flexibility to travel for any projects out of Auckland is required.

Qualifications

We would love to hear from anyone with previous project management experience, preferably in retail. With no two store layouts the same, we need individuals who have excellent problem solving skills and the ability to use creative thinking with a commercial and analytical mind-set.  You will also be able to manage multiple priorities & deliver projects on time and within budget.  

Our wish list also includes: 

  • Understanding of NZ building fitout compliance, ideally in a retail context 
  • Experience in managing 3rd party contractors  
  • Experience in project management of retail projects from end to end
