Mornings in the strategy and operations team

Google is looking for a Strategy and Operations MBA Intern for 2027 to join the London team on a fully onsite basis. This opportunity is aimed at MBA students in the EMEA region who want hands-on experience shaping business priorities on a fast-moving, high-impact team. You’ll be part of Google’s broader mission to scale ideas into scalable growth while gaining exposure to a wide mix of business functions.

As a Strategy and Operations Intern, you’ll help define, land and execute on core priorities that drive long-term growth. You’ll contribute business insights, ensure cross-functional alignment, and help forge partnerships while rolling out new initiatives. The job is designed to align company priorities with day-to-day operations and to evolve early-stage ideas into future growth initiatives. The team supports projects across areas like Sales, Enterprise, Finance, People Operations (HR), Legal, Trust and Safety, and Marketing, with placement determined by your CV and the preferences you indicate on the application form.

If you enjoy turning data into strategic conversations and delivering content that executives can act on, you’ll likely feel at home in this internship.

What you’ll bring to the team

The role calls for a few core capabilities and experiences to set you up for success:

  • Currently pursuing an MBA and enrolled in a program based in the EMEA region
  • Hands-on experience in strategy consulting, finance or corporate strategy gained through internships or practical work
  • Experience tailoring and delivering reporting and presentations for different audiences, asking strategic questions, and guiding discussions that drive results and efficiencies
  • Experience presenting to senior stakeholders and producing content that is ready for executive audiences

Nice-to-have essentials

These additional experiences can strengthen your candidacy:

  • Experience in Go-to-Market strategy, Strategic Projects Management or Program Management for a tech company or consumer goods company
  • Ability to work across functional teams and influence without formal authority to drive operational excellence, deliver priority initiatives, improve processes, and manage change
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of leading analytical work to test and push a hypothesis forward
  • Capability to commit to a 13-week full-time internship in the UK starting in May, June or July 2027

Practical details to plan around

The internship runs for a minimum of 13 weeks on a full-time basis in the UK, with on-site work in London for the duration. It requires current MBA enrollment in the EMEA region and is scheduled to begin sometime in May, June or July 2027.

Tips for applicants

Lead with your MBA and the most relevant hands-on experiences in strategy, finance or corporate work, and place those highlights at the top of your resume so they’re easy to scan.

Show how you’ve tailored reports and prepared content that executives can act on. Include concrete examples where you shaped the narrative, addressed audience needs, and backed your recommendations with data.

Be ready to talk through cross-functional collaboration and influencing without authority. Share a situation where you brought multiple teams together to complete a priority initiative and what you learned from the process.

Have a clear project-ready story about turning an early-stage idea into a growth initiative, including how you structured the cadence, milestones, and the metrics you used to measure progress.
