Egis GroupEgis Group, a global player in architecture, consulting, construction engineering and mobility services, is looking for a Structural Site Engineer to join its on-site team in Abu Dhabi. The company employs about 20,500 people across 100 countries and delivers intelligent infrastructure and climate-conscious buildings. In the Middle East, Egis operates with around 3,500 staff across eight countries and has completed more than 700 complex development projects. This role is a fit for someone who enjoys hands-on leadership, a diligent safety mindset, and delivering high-quality structures on schedule.

You’ll work closely with project managers, contractors and design engineers to address technical issues and implement corrective actions, keeping the project moving in line with the construction schedule. The position suits an experienced engineer who wants to lead on-site execution for buildings involving precast and cast-in-situ concrete and steel structures in the UAE/GCC context.
Egis' Middle East footprint reflects strategic growth and a deep understanding of local markets, making it a trusted partner for governments, investors and developers who rely on reliable engineering and project management. This is your chance to contribute to resilient infrastructure across dynamic urban projects in the region.
Site life on a major Abu Dhabi project
On a typical day you’ll oversee structural construction activities on site and verify that work is carried out in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications and quality requirements. Regular site inspections and quality checks are part of the routine, and you’ll maintain comprehensive documentation such as daily reports, inspection records and as-built drawings.
You’ll coordinate with project managers, contractors and design engineers to resolve technical issues and implement corrective actions, while monitoring progress to ensure structural work stays on the approved schedule. You’ll inspect delivered materials and components for quality and compliance, identify defects and safety hazards, and propose remedial measures to safeguard structural integrity. Safety protocols will be a continual focus as you supervise on-site practices, and you’ll translate technical findings into clear updates for stakeholders through meetings and reports.
Must-have credentials
To be considered, you should have a bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering and 10–15 years of hands-on experience supervising structural construction on buildings, including both precast and cast-in-place concrete and steel structures. UAE/GCC experience is often preferred.

Advice for applicants
Put your most relevant on-site leadership experience up front. In your resume, lead with 10–15 years of structural construction and site supervision on buildings, and highlight your work with precast and cast-in-situ concrete and steel, especially within the UAE/GCC region.
Show how you prove the must-have skills. Cite concrete examples where you reviewed structural drawings and calculations and applied reinforced concrete and steel design knowledge to keep projects compliant with ACI/BS/Eurocodes/ASTM standards, and mention your proficiency with AutoCAD, ETABS, SAFE, PCA, PROKON, BIM and Office tools.
Be ready to talk about collaboration and safety during interviews. Share specific scenarios where you coordinated with project managers, contractors and design engineers, addressed non-conformances and implemented corrective actions while enforcing safety protocols on site.
Ask a smart question to demonstrate you’ve thought about field execution. For example: how does the team balance design intent with on-site constraints in Abu Dhabi projects, and how is as-built documentation and QA/QC handled across the lifecycle of a building project?
