One of the most common methods of metal 3D printing is laser powder bed fusion.

Research at the ILT focuses on this process. Two current topics are the sustainability aspects of the process and the integration of sensors into 3D-printed metal components.

 

Be part of change

  • You will assist us in preparing and conducting experiments on metal 3D printing machines
  • Preparing and characterizing samples will also be part of your responsibilities
  • In addition, you will create both simple and complex CAD designs
  • Finally, you will visualize the results

 

What you contribute

  • You are studying mechanical engineering, materials science, or a related field
  • You also have a meticulous, organized, and conscientious approach to your work in the lab and on the computer, as well as proficiency with MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint)

Compensation is based on the company-wide agreement governing the employment of support staff.
The weekly work schedule is up to 19 hours and will be agreed upon individually during the interview.
The position is initially a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the goal of transitioning to a longer-term position that can be combined with your studies.
