BHP is seeking an experienced Superintendent Ventilation at Broadmeadow in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, a longwall underground coal operation. Reporting to the Underground Mine Manager on a Monday–Friday roster, you will lead the Ventilation and Gas Drainage team, designing and managing ventilation, gas drainage and monitoring systems while coordinating with technical advisers and drilling contractors and overseeing related contractor activity. You’ll manage budgets, hazard plans, training in ventilation and methane drainage, and assist with sealing management plans and risk assessments. Essential: Ventilation Officer Certificate of Competency; degree in Mining Engineering desirable; methane drilling experience; strong leadership and communication.
