Amazon is looking for a results-driven Supply Chain Manager for Australian Retail business, who will thrive at solving complex supply chain and inventory management challenges. You will build an in-depth understanding of Amazon's commercial frameworks, operational processes, and programs. Supported by this knowledge, you will collaborate with our largest vendors to enhance supply chain cooperation and improve the strategic operations setup. The goal is to maximize product availability for our customers while reducing overall costs in supply chain.
This is a high-impact role that combines supply chain expertise, vendor-facing communication skills, and a continuous improvement mindset. You will influence strategy, set the standard for operational engagement methodology, and work cross-functionally with internal and external teams to deliver measurable reductions in supply chain defects for key vendors.
Key job responsibilities
- Optimize key goals through effective program management, including but not limited to product availability, assisting vendors in meeting Amazon’s standards, and advocating for Supply Chain Programs to reduce costs.
- Leverage data to investigate and deliver improvements in key supply chain metrics.
- Identify and develop scalable solutions to key operational challenges, both internal and external with vendors.
- Own and manage multiple projects, collaborating across central program teams and category teams to enhance Australia Retail supply chain/operations, from development through to delivery.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of with Excel experience
- 4+ years of supply chain, inventory management or project management experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of the principles of statistical inventory control
- Experience with process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
- Experience with SQL
- Experience working with complex data sets
