YMCA Victoria is hiring a Swim Teacher for Benalla Aquatic Centre to design and deliver school aged swimming lessons that blend stroke development with water safety, helping kids gain confidence and ability. The role is casual with an hourly rate from $31.18 plus super and Y Benefits, at a centre featuring four pools and gym facilities. Essential qualifications are HLTAID009 CPR and an Accredited Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety (AUSTSWIM or equivalent); First Aid and other specialist qualifications are desirable. About the Centre
Benalla Aquatic Centre is proudly run by the YMCA on behalf of the Benalla Rural City Council. The Centre has 4 large pools including a 25m Pool, Program Pool, Toddler Pool (with a slide) and 50m Outdoor Swimming Pool. We also have a Gym and Group Fitness studio in which offers a wide range of equipment for all patrons and staff to enjoy.
About the role
As a Swim Teacher at benalla Aquatic Centre you will be developing and delivering lesson plans that promote swimming skill building in school aged children, combining stroke development with water safety and enhancing the overall confidence and ability of your students.
This is a casual role with an hourly rate up starting from $31.18 + super & Y Benefits (junior rates apply for under 18).
About you
You will be passionate about inspiring and developing water safety and swimming skills in children and young people. Experience in other teaching or coaching roles is a bonus but not necessary. Personal attributes such as patience, respect, and enthusiasm will take you far as a Swim Teacher!
